Longest Train World Record

Longest Train World Record

This record was made on 20th October in 2000 near the gold mining town of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Afterward in March 29 2003 this record was broken at Mungindi, Queensland when a road train was driven with 87 trailers measuring at 1235.3 meters.

On 16th October 2004 this record was one more time broken by setting the road train of 117 trailers in the measurement of approximate 1450 meters. But unfortunately this record was accepted by Gunnies World Record just for 36 hours.

The last and final record of the longest road train was set on 18th February 2006 by Brisbane truckie John Atkinson in the company of his Mack Titan truck. It took almost 6 hours to assemble up all the 113 trailers into a 1,474.3 meter long road train. There was the temperature of almost 38 degrees in Clifton, Queensland. He completed almost 140 meter in 50 seconds that makes up nearly one-and-a-half kilometer of truck whose weight is over 1300 tones.
